Maurice Clement Pay
Maurice Clement Pay is on the right. Research from Trove newspapers shows that Herb Beetham is probably Adrian Herbert Armstrong Beetham who was a forest officer in the 1930s. There was a Dr John Herbert Dorman who took over a medical practice at at Neerim South in 1936 and had been at Neerim South since about 1932.
The 50th anniversary of the ordination of Reverend Maurice Pay at St Peter's Anglican Church Bribie Island in 1982.
Along with Reverend Pay in the photos are the Venerable Archdeacon Brian Ward, Reverend John Harrison, Venerable Archdeacon Adrian Charles, Reverend Len Kemish (Reverend Albert Leonard Samuel Kemish).
This photo is probably of the yacht race from Bribie to Brisbane. It looks like Maurice Pay holding the camera on the right in the first photo and he definitely had a hat like that.
The second photo was taken from the jetty in the direction of the camera in the first photo.
The photo would have been taken in the late 1970s or early 1980s and is probably St Laurence, Caboolture, Queensland. St Laurence (or Lawrence) can be read on the plaque. I'm fairly sure that the priest at the front of the first photo was at Bribie Island around this time. Reverend Maurice Pay is walking behind him in the first photo and is third from the right in the second photo.
